Saurashtra Baj Khedaval News
We shall publish
inspiring news on this page. We shall publish the morale-boosting reports of
notable work that can guide and motivate the
caste-fellows.
The news may be related
to inspiring achievements by an individual or a group in cultural, fine arts, technological or some non-conventional
fields. We plan to include news-reports
of important Gyati Mandal
activities, special functions and celebrations. The report should not exceed
400 characters or 5 lines. If photographs are
e-mailed with the report, we shall try to publish one of them. The
report and the photo may be edited on the website.
Ahmedabad Mandal
has set an exemplary policy that they do not
unduly highlight or promote an individual. Bravo, Ahmedabad
Mandal! In accordance with that excellent policy,
we may not publish personal photograph of an individual.

Let us lead our Gyati into the e-Age!
Shri Rajkot
Mandal appreciates our Internet activities
I received a letter
from Shri Mukundbhai N.
Dave, Maha-Mantri, Shri
Saurashtra Baj Khedaval Brahman Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Rajkot.
He has generously praised our efforts to promote the NET activities among
the Gyati. He has specially mentioned the Gyati Website and endorsed its usefulness. He has
promised to promote the NET activities among the Gyati-jan.
Thank you, Mukund bhai, for your
encouragement and warm support. Thank you Rajkot
Mandal, for your appreciation of our activities.
We all together can lead our Gyati on the path of
progress.
Today I have placed Rajkot Mandal details on the
HELP page.

Let us lead our Gyati into the e-Age!
The
INTERNET activities
Before the recent function, I personally
wrote hundreds of letters to the caste-fellows in different cities.
As a result, many caste-fellows have taken
our Internet activities seriously. But I understand that Internet-phobia is
still there in our Caste. Very few caste-fellows are aware of the importance and values of the NET. Fewer still
actually do surfing. Practically no one is doing any constructive work on
the NET.
Who is to be blamed for such a situation?
We, the elders and the leaders should do an introspection. Have we led by example? Have we ever
encouraged the Caste-fellows to turn to the technology?
I have been making frantic efforts to
promote the NET activities since August last. Thanks to the efforts of Shri Maheshbhai Mehta, Shri Kishorbhai Dave from Mumbai, Shri
Rajendrabhai Mehta (Ahmedabad),
and few other equally enthusiastic caste-fellows, we could reach up to some
30-odd members membership in the Group! Is it a good picture for our caste?
This is an open appeal to all to think.
I see rays of hope NOW. Yesterday,
the leaders were kind enough to promote the NET activities whole-heartedly.
The NET activities for Caste were highlighted frequently with special
announcements. And see! What impact can the leaders make! They NOW seem to
be taking the NET activities seriously. They have assured support.
Thanks to all!
In my personal meetings with the leaders
of Gyati yesterday, I have emphasized that we,
all the leaders, should set example before our
Caste-fellows. All the leaders MUST
take the NET activities seriously. No excuses of age or time! I appeal to
all leaders and volunteers to learn the basics of the NET. I am ready to
guide all of you. We have world-class leaders any Gyati
should be proud of. They have vision and unfailing dedication to the cause.
They have integrity of exceptional standards. Why should we lag behind
then?
Come forward, my dear Leaders! Let us
march forward! Let us set example before our Gyati-jan!
Together we grow!

Ahmedabad Gyati Function at Ahmedabad
(11-12th Feb,06)
The Gyati
Function organised by Shree
Saurashtra Baj Khedaval Brahmin Charitable Trust, Ahmedabad
was a memorable programme with great fanfare at Ahmedabad on 11th and 12th February, 2006. Our Gyati-jan from Ahmedabad and
distant places attended the event with enthusiasm and joy. The Samuh Yagnopavit samaroh was a boon to many families in these
days. Likewise, the Jeevan-Sathi Pasandagi Samaroh provided an
excellent platform for the participants to initiate communication.
The volunteers of Ahmedabad
Trust really worked very hard to the minutest details to make the event a
successful one. Their team work and dedication was beyond question. In the
true spirit of solidarity, the leaders of other Mandals
from different towns and cities attended the function and made it quite
graceful.
When the Programme
is arranged on such a massive scale, there could be isolated cases of the
so-called near-chaotic condition. But such situations are really beyond the
control of the organizers and indeed acceptable.
We need to learn more discipline. At the same time, the management may
think out a better system wherever they find some pitfalls.

Caste-fellows!
Your age should not be an excuse to work on the Computers!
We all need to
draw inspiration from Shri Himmatbhai Dave, Rajkot. At an
age of 70+, he is the senior-most member of our Khedavalbrahmin
Group. At this age, he has been using computers and the Internet routinely.
As an immigration consultant, he offers services in admission, studies,
Visas and migration abroad. You may avail
his guidance. His e-mail ID can be had from the Khedavalbrahmin
Group. .................................................. September,2005
