We sent letters to leaders of our Gyati-mandals at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Vadodara, Rajkot, Kolkatta etc. We also sent emails to several Gyati-bandhus whose IDs we could collect. Here is the text of the letter:

Dear Gyati-bandhu,
Namaskaar.
You will be pleased to learn that for the families of our Saurashtra Baj Khedaval Brahmin Caste, we have started an exclusive group on the Yahoo Groups on the Internet.
This Group is named as “khedavalbrahmin” Group. You can communicate to any or all of the caste fellows through this Group. You can send e-mails to all members through the Group. You can send messages about an event/ a function. You can publish family photos or exchange news or views. Our Gyati Mandals have been doing great job for our caste in India and abroad. Now they can speedily spread messages through this Group.
The membership of the Group is open to all members of the Saurashtra Baj Khedaval Brahmin families across the world. The membership is FREE. There are no charges, no fees. Anytime you can join the Group, any time you may leave.
Most of you might be conversant with the procedure for joining a Group. You may join the Group by visiting the Yahoo - the Yahoo Groups – and then use the “Find a Group” option. Search for “khedavalbrahmin”, follow the link and join the Group.

We have been receiving phone calls and personal mails about the Group. We thank all of you for your interest and enthusiasm. But still many of our caste-fellows are sceptical about the use of computers and the Internet. Many have inhibitions about their utility in our Caste. Remember my words that Computers and Internet are going to be part of your life tomorrow and you can not stay away from them. Computer-illiterate people will find it hard to survive in tomorrow’s world. Whatever may be your age, learn the basic uses of computers. Shed all your inhibitions. If you do not have a computer, go to cyber café and learn the Internet and e-mailing. You must know this. It is an absolute requirement of tomorrow.

I appeal to youngsters to take up this task and spread my message.
Wake up, friends! Wake up! Let us think about the future of our caste in the competitive world tomorrow. Your support will help us to take the Gyati into the new era of science. I am confident that our efforts will help our Gyati to enter into the e-age. Thanks.
